After a day of shopping and we needed a break while at the San Marcos Premium Outlet Mall. We chose to stop in and grab a homestyle lunch at Centerpoint Station Diner & Bakery.
Centerpoint Station was opened in 1993 as a home décor antique showroom, as well as a gift shop to educate people about American history. Not long after they open they realized that food establishments were missing in the area, so Garland Warren and his daughter added the restaurant.
The restaurant is housed inside a train depot which is joined with the gift shop. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries, a pulled pork sandwich, and a stuffed avocado, which were all very delicious. After lunch we took a look around the gift shop and admired many of the unique items they had for sale.
Centerpoint Station is a great place to pick a few of knick-knack gift items, especially for those individuals that have everything. You can find items such as Mud Pie dishware which are always fun items to give. Many great wedding gifts such as wine glasses, serving pieces and much more, are also available. In the back of the bakery, you will find trendy clothes and jewelry.
Did I forget to mention the bakery and sweet shop that is also inside? If you are not in the mood for lunch but are looking for a snack, they have many wonderful baked goods along with ice cream to cool you down, and various flavors of fudge. (picture of fudge and menu)
