Nothing is more relaxing than entering a coffee house, smelling freshly brewed with soft jazz-like music playing. Anywhere in Antalya, you can find a coffee shop offering freshly brewed coffee in just about any flavor you wish.
I find that coffee houses are great place for socializing with friends. I like to select shops with unique décor that is comfortable and cozy with something on the menu to satisfy everyone’s taste. Meetups at coffee shops have been a part of the Turkish culture for decades. What I love most about the culture here is that time takes a back seat to relationships, best developed over a cup of coffee.
Here are some of my favorite recommendations of coffee houses to visit:
Cup of Poe Coffee House
This cozy bookstore /coffee house is a place you can visit to relax and read a good book while having a fresh cup of coffee or any drink of your choice. If you are a digital nomad, it offers an excellent workspace with tables and plugs for the laptop.
Located not far from TerraCity Mall is this quaint little coffee shop. It is a cozy place to stop for a break from shopping to enjoy a newly brewed cup of coffee. FiLab Coffee was founded by a local coffee-loving couple in 2018. In addition to coffee, you have a few other drink and dessert options to choose from on the menu. You can also visit their website and order coffee and tea online.
Zero Zone Coffee
This unique small cozy coffee shop, Zero Zone Coffee House, is off the beaten path. The décor is very modern and urban. Here you will find a quiet place to work while sipping on a latte.
After dining at one of our favorite restaurants on Lara Caddesi, we decided to take a walk in the neighborhood nearby, where we came upon this tiny but lovely coffee shop, Danjeh Coffee. The owner is friendly, and the staff is helpful. We enjoyed the coffee and the location and found it a nice place to have our evening coffee.
Pastry & Coffee Houses
Bella Gelateria/Café Mokambo
This coffee shop is located off Isiklar Street near Kaleici. I have added it to my list of favorites because the coffee shop offers a lot. In addition to coffee, they have some of the most delicious ice creams in all of Antalya. I love their sitting area, where you can find artwork for sale by local artists. The staff is always friendly when we visit the shop. They have indoor and outdoor seating. A girl can’t go wrong with a just brewed coffee in one hand and a creamy cup of gelato in the other!
Brezel and More
Although this is more of a bakery, it is another quaint shop to enjoy a cup of coffee and a new flaky baked pastry. In addition to many yummy baked goods, I highly recommend trying their salted German-style pretzels. The owner, Artesian Çağtay Özer, brought his skills from Germany as a bakery to Antalya. Everything is baked fresh daily with no additives or preservatives.
Mon Ami Coffee
A European style coffee shop filled with handmade Russian porcelain figurines is a great place to visit for coffee or dessert. We befriended the owner and her coworker, Allat, who makes some of the best sourdough bread in all of Antalya. Mon Ami Coffee also serves a full breakfast and delicious sandwiches.
Franchise Coffee Houses
Gloria Jean Coffee
Gloria Jean’s Coffee has five locations in Antalya. My favorite store location is near Carrefour Supermarket, offering indoor and outdoor seating. The menu not only has a variety of coffee specials, but they also serve sandwiches and desserts. Gloria Jean’s originated in Chicago and has grown to over 600 stores worldwide.
Arabica Coffee House
Arabica Coffee House is one of Turkey’s pioneers in the coffee industry. This boutique-style coffee house not only provides customers with excellent coffee but also has a beautiful view of Duden Park overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in Lara. In addition, you might find a cat that wants to snuggle up to you while sipping your fresh brew!
Location: Çağlayan, 07230 Muratpaşa/Antalya
Located off of Lara Caddesi is a popular hangout. Coffee Lab offers indoor or outdoor seating and has a lovely ambiance. They were established in Ankara, offering guests imported green beans, roasted or freshly brewed coffee. In addition, they were serving delicious coffee and a wide selection of desserts. It is an excellent place to meet friends or work on your computer. They have branched out to over four cities in Turkey.
Sometimes you just need a good cup of coffee and a place that offers a great relaxing atmosphere to unwind from the day. Check out one of these coffee houses and let me know what you think. If you have other suggestions of places to check out, please share.
